This is a very singable and easy to learn chorus by Troy Hatfield, one of the musical leaders of Mars Hill Church in Grand Rapids, MI.  The lyric is a beautiful reminder of Psalm 46:12 which tell us that because God is with us--especially in the midst of trouble--we do not need to be afraid. 

Fear--it's being thrown at us and sold to us and used to manipuate and control folks in so many ways.  We all have our own personal fears as well.  We hope and pray that little choruses like this will help us respond to fear with Spirit-centered love and strength and freedom.

Composer and UCC pastor James F.D. Martin (or "Jim" to most of his friends and colleagues) writes very catchy, easy to learn, upbeat and meaningful songs for worship.  Several of his songs are in the UCC's supplemental contemporary hymnal, "Sing!  Prayer and Praise!" and we are delighted to be sharing his music here at CMP.

Lost And Found's playful and funny style often works well for kids, children's choirs, and camp singalongs.  This one could definitely work in those contexts.  Lots of great Scripture references here from Matthew 13-14 also.  

Another great song written by Brian McLaren and arranged and performed by Fran McKendree and Ana Hernandez.  This is an infectious arrangement, easy to play on guitar, and the lyrics are based on the familiar 1 Cor. 13.  One of the great things about this song is that it can be used in lots of contexts--congregational worship, children's choirs, even as a camp song.  Warning--you won't be able to get it out of your heads!  

A brand new song from the amazing Ken Medema based on Jesus' words in Matthew 5:14-16.  Congregations will pick this up very easily and enjoy singing this catchy tune and lyric in many different liturgical contexts.  This one will also work well with children!

This song features both a beautifully melodic and inspiring chorus for congregations to sing and also rap style verses with great theology.  A powerful anthem that can be used in many contexts.
