  2. May There Be Peace
    By: Brian McLaren

From Brian McLaren:  "I've spent quite a bit of time in Africa over the last decade or so, and one of the beautiful words I picked up there was amahoro," an East African word for peace.  Some of my Native American friends taught me the beautiful words "elohe" and wolakota," and I wondered if I could weve these words into a song that congregations could sing as a benediction--a parting song of peace.  I integrated these words with an adaptation of the classic Hebrew blessing.  Someday, I'd love to hear a children's choir sing this song."

From CMP: Brian McLaren was on a road Sabbatical for the first 8 months of 2016.  During this time away from the grind of constant travel and preparation for live events Brian wrote, rewrote, compiled, and recorded demos (not finished studio recordings) of 21 songs.  9 of these demos are currently available here on the CMP site, and we are in the process of creating lead sheets and piano arrangements for them.  If you would like to purchase this entire collection of Brian's demo's, lyrics, and some notes he wrote about each song (21 songs for $18), please email Bryan Sirchio, CMP Lead Designer, and he will send you a link you can use to purchase Brian's entire collection.

  3. Maybe When We're Gone
    By: Brian McLaren

Several times in the Bible, we're told to listen to creation ... to go to the ant, to consider the lilies of the field and the birds of the air, to listen as the stars preach to us. This song is an attempt to hear what our fellow creatures are trying to tell us right now ... about what we're doing to the world. It could be a performance song, but I dare to think that some brave congregations would be willing to have their congregations sing it too. Learn More

  4. Mercy Reigns
    By: Bill Tonnis

A very accessible and singable song about the beauty and power of the mercy of God and mercy in general. This will work well as a choral anthem and also with the entire congregation. Learn More

  5. More Than Welcome Here
    By: Richard Bruxvoort Colligan

Many congregations consider themselves to be "welcoming," and that's fantastic.  But it's time to be MORE than just welcoming.  This song goes beyond welcome to the call for joyful and full participation in the community of faith.

"More Than Welcome Here" was inspired in part by a quote that Bryan Sirchio saw tweeted...something like "Welcome is being included.  Belonging is being missed when you're not there."

Note:  This song is available exclusively here on the CMP site!

  6. Move
    By: Richard Bruxvoort Colligan

    • The lead sheet product includes lead sheet plus songleader's guide and congregational melody line.
    • The lyric sheet product is a chord chart.

This song is a reflection on Psalm 109, one of the most angry psalms. The song "Move" invites focused commitment to be active in the work of protest, healing and justice. It also names anger as a natural response to oppression, perhaps a good fuel for change.

This song is licensed voa OneLicense.net, CCLI and Worldmaking.net.

  7. Multiply
    By: Lost And Found

Lost And Found's playful and funny style often works well for kids, children's choirs, and camp singalongs.  This one could definitely work in those contexts.  Lots of great Scripture references here from Matthew 13-14 also.

  8. New Creation
    By: Lost And Found

The popular youth event duo "Lost And Found" (Michael Bridges and George Baum) sometimes refer to their music as "speed wood" music.  High energy, great sense of humor, and yet some really nice content.   Usually they perform with just acoustic guitar and electric piano, and they are always lots of fun.  This one may not make it into Sunday morning worship in a lot of congregations, but then again who knows!  Teens and kids love these guys!

No sheet music yet for this one...
